AN A.G.M. MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Playing Member,

Here we are at the end of another season and I hope you have had a lot of fun playing. I have certainly enjoyed watching all the teams.

The Annual General Meeting is the formal end to our season (although there are still a few games to play). However if you did not know the AGM is a short meeting (approx 30 - 40 minutes) where your Committee basically goes through the running of the Club for the last year and asks for your approval of the names of the proposed officers and Captains for the next year.

After the meeting we have a fun hotpot supper where the winners of the team turn out cups receive their awards and the Captains of the five teams give their light-hearted accounts of the highs and lows of your team’s season.

Over the last few seasons your Committee has noticed that the number of players attending this evening is slipping. Now this can be because of a number of reasons but we think that we should as a trial change the day of the meeting from a Thursday to a Saturday and to have two inter team games of football beforehand to encourage you to feel more a part of the Club and have an enjoyable evening with your teammates and friends.

We very much want your support for this day.

Please will you contact your team captain immediately with your availability to play and intention to attend the hotpot (to be sure we cater for the right numbers).

Saturday 7th May

14:30 1st XI v 4th XI and 2nd XI v 3rd XI

17:00 AGM

19:00 Hot pot supper

Thank you

Willie Hall
